i have the best boyfriends

today, i thought i would be generous and share my celebrity boyfriends with you for a minute. i said i had a gift for you! today is definitely a celebrity boyfriend day. (oh, those days. you have them too.)

in no specific order.....

cory

cory. what more can i say?

insert rachael here. oh wait. my bad. taylor swift is his sunday girl. i'm his monday through saturday girl. he gives the best hugs.

jason

one of my guy friends was asking me what kind of hair i like most on guys and i directed him to the google image page of none other than jason bateman. best hair ever? i think so. he thinks the same of me. we have a lovingly vain relationship together.

doesn't he look so handsome carrying our baby girl on his shoulders? ugh. our family is so beautiful that gap wants to put us in their ads.

josh

bad guy turned good guy turned hero turned romantic. what else can you ask for in a hunky celebrity boyfriend?

ok, maybe a hot body.

i don't even understand why the oceanic 815 passengers were upset to crash on a deserted island with him. ungrateful brats.

joseph

joseph, you better have been on the phone with me during the time of this photo. only i can elicit such a hungry look from you.

dreamy? yes. would i get stuck in limbo with him for the rest of my life? you bet.

taylor

you didn't really think i'd leave taylor off the list, did you? duh. essence of celebrity boyfriend list right here.

enjoy my celeb bf's! (but don't enjoy them too much, that's for me.)

sorry annie, the sun will not come out tomorrow

i'd like to officially come out and say what everyone else is thinking: oprah is gone. OPRAH IS GONE. what is the point of life anymore? why even get out of bed tomorrow? will the sun even come up? how will people go on living? how could oprah do this to me? how could she just retire? this is worse than the day the music died. this is even worse than the day brad and jen split up. this is the day that oprah left.

but since the blogosphere perseveres through such adversity (and since i have class in the morning anyway), i'll keep my chin up and my blog updated (i promise i'll try harder!)

up next: a gift from me to you...stay tuned.

p.s. so excited to go home for memorial day weekend!

this is my grown up birthday list

another eventful weekend come and gone in rexburg. i have successfully decided what i want for my birthday in september.
my roommate let me try on her legit ray bans and the only way i can describe the feeling was powerful. they felt like power in my hands. so i am in the process of convincing my mother that they are, in fact, worth the money because when you put on a pair of tortoise wayfarer ray bans, you are the essence of cool. i could wear nothing but a shredded burlap sack and some ray bans and i would still look uber cool. so it's an investment because i won't have to put money into cute clothes anymore! eh? (i know, i'm so diplomatic.)

i seriously finished the best book ever this weekend. it's called unbroken by laura hillenbrand (the author of seabiscuit. this girl has legit talent.) it's a true WWII story of a former olympic runner who spends two years as a war prisoner after his plane crashes in the ocean and he gets caught by japanese soldiers. it made me cry so hard and i spent, like, 12 hours on sunday looking up interviews and tv specials on louie zamperini. the thing is, i get really excited after i read a good book and i always have to wait a few months to decide if it's one of my favorites...but i think this could be in the top five books i've ever read. seriously. it was so moving, you should probably stop reading this blog right now and go buy it.

also, i wanted to say......happy mothers day, mom! thanks for being so awesome :) you're the best mom but you're also my best friend. i love you!

m.i.a.

i feel obligated to tell the blogosphere why i have been missing in action for the past few weeks. first of all, i moved back up to rexburg a couple weeks ago for spring semester (while my family went to hawaii for spring break), so i have been mourning my loss by going on strike against technology.

ok, that's not true, but really, hawaii? the day before i start school? (it's really ok, though, i'm having fun in rexburg!)

i am, however, mourning the loss of casey abrams on american idol. why him??? i knew this day would come. i knew he would not be appreciated for his talent. why not jacob, though? or scotty?

the only thing i can do to lessen the pain of casey's exit is to take comfort in the fact that i have a zen master/jedi for a world religions teacher. "what?" you may ask? "at byu-idaho?" it's not often that you have teachers here who are ex-bishops that got the whole congregation to meditate before sacrament meeting. also, he is writing a book and has travelled the world to meditate with famous buddhist monks. and he insists we address him by "master" instead of "brother" or "professor." for real, who is this guy? i love him!

in less fun news, i got a sad rejection letter last week from byu jerusalem for the fall semester. i have been getting my hopes up about it (bad, bad, bad) which made the rejection letter that much more upsetting. but i don't think it's coincidence, so there must be a good reason for it, and i'm trying to be positive about the situation!

before i head off to anatomy lab, i'd like to clarify that, yes, i did watch the royal wedding at 4 am. and i loved every second of it. i wanted to cry of happiness because, you know, i have so much british pride. all i can is....

do i have royal couple mania? yes, yes i absolutely do.

productivity

productivity is...

-swearing on a sunday night that you will clean your room and instead having seriously heated arguments with your brother about the logistics of time travel (it's deep stuff, my friends) and then the perfect ratio of pie to ice cream.

-promising yourself on a monday morning that you will clean your room and start packing for school and instead shopping for sandals you don't need and starting a kitchen fire while making soup (and then putting out/cleaning up said kitchen fire.)

-blogging at work on a monday afternoon when you could be doing laundry.

-my middle name.
